Plastic granules are chopped into small, grain-type pellets made from thermoplastic materials used for re-creating plastic products.
Nurdles or plastic pellets or Plastic Dana or Plastic Resigns because it is a small lentil-sized piece of plastic. It is a microplastic material which is less than 5mm in size.
There are around 6 types of plastic granules available which are: Polypropylene (PP), High-density polyethylene (HDPE), Low-density polyethylene (LDPE), Polystyrene (PS), Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and Polycarbonate (PC).
It is a raw material for plastic products manufacturers, which are used for making products like bottles, electronic components, surgical items, etc.
Key differences:
Density: HDPE has a higher density than LDPE.
Flexibility: LDPE is significantly more flexible than HDPE.
Strength: HDPE is generally stronger and more rigid than LDPE.
HDPE is used to manufacture: Milk jugs, detergent bottles, recycling bins, pipes, etc.
LDPE Plastic Granules are used to manufacture: Plastic bags, food wrap, squeeze bottles, disposable gloves, etc.
